Ms. Jackson's
Classroom Routine
As a student in Ms. Jackson’s classroom, I am expected to comply with certain procedures which, when practiced, become routines. Ms. Jackson has established these routines to make my class run more smoothly by eliminating disruptions, maximizing learning time, and fostering a pleasant and serene environment. It is her goal that these set routines will help me become a more responsible student and, hopefully, a more successful person. I understand that when I do not practice appropriate classroom routine, I may disrupt class unnecessarily and fail to achieve my potential and live up to my responsibilities as a student.
The following is a list of the routines which I shall practice daily in class:
1. I shall
enter the classroom quietly and orderly, and I
shall be prepared to work.
(Have ALL necessary school supplies)
2. I shall be seated promptly and shall begin work immediately.
3. Once seated, I am to look to the assignment board and begin or prepare for the first task listed.
4. During class I shall participate in all class activities.
5. Before getting out of my desk for any reason, I shall raise my hand and get permission first.
6. Before talking, I shall raise my hand and get permission first.
7. I shall hold all trash until the end of class and drop it in the trash can on my way out.
8. My desk and the area around it will be kept clean and free of marks.
9. I shall not chew gum or eat candy in class.
10. I promise myself that each day I shall try to the best of my ability to become a better student and person.
